I have taken this photo in a studio in Banglaore, India.Time
This was shot around 2pm. But since it was in studio, I don't think time matters. I had booked the studio for only 2 hours but I was sure I wouldn't need more time for this shoot.Lighting
After deciding on the concept for the shoot. I started watching youtube tutorials and reading articles on how to light it the way I want it as this was my first studio shoot. I used two soft boxes to light up the model and two strip box to get white background.Equipment
I used Canon 600D with 50mm lens. Hand held. 2 strip box and 2 soft boxInspiration
I didn't want to experiment much on my first studio shoot. The idea was to shoot a designer dress along with some model portfolio. I had looked at work of Michael Woloszynowicz for reference.Editing
Yes. I wasn't much experienced in post-processing at that time. This was the first time I looked for a retoucher. I found a wonderful retoucher Julia Kartashova from Russia. I really liked how amazing the picture came out.In my camera bag
I pretty much travel and shoot alone and I like to travel light. Since about a couple of years I have been packing a Canon 5D mark IV, 50mm lens, and sometimes Yongnuo 560 iii if I am shooting indoors.Feedback
Don't let gear stop you from achieving this. Many people had told me after seeing this shot that they couldn't believe this was shot on a beginner level camera. Plan your shoot from start to finish, so that you can be prepared and finish the shoot in time.
