Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph in a village near my town.

Time

It was about 11 in the morning as i can remember.

Lighting

Lighting is all natural

Equipment

I used Canon t4i with Canon 17-85 lens.

Inspiration

Life inspired me. That village is actually "Dying". Youngsters are moving to big towns,and old ones stays because of their lands.Life is pretty hard there,and you can see it all on this man's face.They have only two doctors for the whole village,and no police stations at all.

Editing

I did actually a lot of retouching because of the bad light...i spent a lot of hours dodging and burning in PS,after that just a few layers for colors and thats it i guess

Feedback

It is all about telling a story with your own photographs.i guess my advice would be "Think 10 times before you take a shot of somebody.talk to that person,get a real picture of his life and try to capture exactly that.Maybe camera won't see and show the story,then you'll need to do some retouching and pull that out from raw shot.that's photography is all about from my point of view,telling a story with your art."
