Location
I took it near a stable close to where I live.Time
Probably in the afternoon, it was during a cold winter day.Lighting
Natural light only.Equipment
I just used my camera, no tripod or flash. It's a Canon 550 d, and I think this was shot with the 50 mm lens, but it could have been the 18-55 one too.Inspiration
Fun or beautiful motifs usually appear whenever I take a walk with my camera. And also when the camera is left at home, alas! These horses seems to have decided that they wanted to have some fun with the "passing by photographer". They were clearly posing for me. I made more shots and they're all different, but they were very aware of my presence on all shots, and possibly that of the camera as well. Horses are often very curious about cameras.Editing
Nothing but maybe adjusting the contrast a bit, if even that.In my camera bag
I like to keep it light, thus I usually just bring the camera and one lens, chosen depending on what I imagine I will mainly shoot during the day. Portraits, street, landscapes or details. But the unexpected often happens. Like when a hare showed up at a distance when I only had my macro lens to use. It worked as well.Feedback
No, really, this is a once in a lifetime shot! ;-) A combination of the right timing and lots of practice.
