Location
This photo was taken on a photography weekend at the historic village of Hill End, NSW, Australia.Time
We were all up bright and early before dawn for this one! Taken at Kissing Point lookout there were amazing views of the valley with the mist rising as the sun rose with constant changes in colour.Lighting
just natural light which got stronger as the sun rose.Equipment
Canon EOS 650D Sigma lens 18-250mm, tripod, cable release and ND8 grad filter.Inspiration
Being a weekend away with like minded people it was a great opportunity to do some dawn shots, no excuse not to set the alarm!Editing
Three raw images of different exposures were processed in Photomatix Pro.The final image was tweaked and cleaned up in Photoshop Elements 13.In my camera bag
With my Canon 650D I always have the Sigma 18-250 lens and my Tamron 90mm lens which I love. Polarising filter, a couple of ND grad filters and a variable neutral density filter for slowing thinds right down.Feedback
Be prepared and be willing to wait, there's always tomorrow.
