Location
I went to Leeds for a wander around Brewery Wharf with my camera and towards the end of my walk, heading back to the car I came across this building, signed as shown. With all the grief that Solicitors and Lawyers receive, it just seemed like a bit of opportunist forward thinking on the part of the Solicitor in obviously changing his name by Deed-poll... and an opportunity for me as a photographer. The addition of the sign in the window also seemed to add to the overall feel of the image.Time
It was mid to late afternoon, on an overcast day.Lighting
An overcast day does not serve up many opportunities for this kind of architectural study, but fortunately, the solicitor had the forethought to paint his office pink and apply a nice contrasting blue sign.Equipment
No special equipment was used, and the picture was taken hand held.Inspiration
The inspiration to take this image was the image itself, the humour and irony of God loving solicitors, and the little help sign in the ground floor window. Apparently, now there are two people choices wins for this image, it would appear I am not alone in seeing this.Editing
A little tidying up in Picasa just made it a bit more crispy and lifted the colours a little. In my camera bag
Today, I have my newer camera, a Canon 1100D, two zoom lenses, memory cards and have just got a new 58mm mounting ring for my A-series cokin filter collection, so these are now a part of my wandering kit.Feedback
When you walk around the streets, look above eye level. There are some beautiful buildings and varied sights to see above the glass fronts of the retail department stores.
