Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken on a beach in Sydney harbour, Australia.

Time

It was early in the morning and an overcast day.

Lighting

Nothing about the lighting on this one, just was nice soft light with the overcast sky.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D700 for this image and a 17-35mm f2.8 lens set to 17mm. Exposure was 1/4 sec, f22 and ISO 100.

Inspiration

I like to shoot art nude in the landscape so have always wanted to do something like this, I have lots of other locations in mind and just have to find time to do them.

Editing

Not much processing on this image, just levels and sharpening.

In my camera bag

I carry Nikon equipment around, D800 and most of the fast lenses plus Nikon flash units with pocket wizards.

Feedback

Well I guess with something like this you have to be good in communicating with your model, also its worth getting someone who has had lots of experience at modelling and not afraid to try something different.
