Yellow Salsify (Tragopogon dubius) is an ALIEN transplant to this country. This one was in the vicinity of Cottonwood Campground in Theodore Roosevelt NP, South Unit, Medora, Billings County, ND, USA [Canon FT, Canon 50mm FL + 12mm ext. tube, 1-60th sec., f-8 on Kodachrome 64. It was scanned on Fuji equipment, and I had trouble correcting the blue shift.]
