At the corner of Commerce and St. Mary's, in the heart of downtown San Antonio, sits the historic Aztec Theatre. The Aztec opened in 1926, costing 2 million dollars. The opulent theatre featured a mess-American architectural style. The lobby featured the largest chandelier in the Lone Star State. Today the Aztec serves as a multi-purpose event venue. This black and white image, street empty at night and lights on, evokes a film noire feel. One expects a gritty, cynical detective to walk into the scene at any moment.
