This photo was taken at my home in Wishkah, Washington.Time
I took it first thing in the morning, just after sunrise.Lighting
The lighting and fog grabbed my attention which is why I grabbed my camera.Equipment
This photo was taken over 10 years ago. I had a point and shoot type camera. I simply pointed and shot. Even after investing in much higher quality equipment today, I still love this image and the simplicity in the capture.Inspiration
My husband had just received a phone notifying us that his grandmother who was 106 years old had passed away in the early hours of the morning. With a sad heart I went to look out of the window and witnessed this beautiful scene. I call it “Granny’s Assurance “. I felt her presence and knew she was letting us know she was ok.Editing
I liked the image in black and white. In my camera bag
Then I just had a point and shoot camera. Now I actually have a bad. I use a Canon 6d Mark ii. With a variety of lenses, filters, and a tripod. I take it with me everywhere I go,’.Feedback
Seize the moment. Stop and take the picture. I have been late to things over the years because I refuse to pass it by. You never know if you will see the same thing or have the opportunity again.
