Location
This Photo was taken at Ridgemont Country Club. It was my husband's cousin's wedding reception.Time
I took this photo shortly after the reception began. It was late afternoon, on an absolutely beautiful day.Lighting
Lighting was all natural.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5300, no flash, no tripod. I was lucky to spot Daddy and Daughter at just the right time while shooting guests.Inspiration
I was taking photos of the guests, when I spotted Alyssa and her dad sharing a quiet Daddy Daughter moment together before mingling with the guests. I couldn't resist capturing that moment when Dad lets his little girl know how proud of her he is, and how much he loves her. She looks at him with so much love and happiness. A very touching moment caught in time.Editing
My only post-processing was changing to Black and White. I felt nothing else was needed. In my camera bag
I tend to keep my bag very simple. I always have my Nikon D5300, 2 additional lenses, extra batteries, external flash, my little case of SD cards, a few "tip cards" hand wipes, 20.00, and lifesavers. I really don't think you need much more than that.Feedback
My only advise is to basically make your self invisible. In other words, let the party go on around you. Observe instead if interject. take meaningful and fun photos of what is naturally occurring around you.
