As the dramatic gateway to a sprawling park built in honor of Belgium\u2019s 50th birthday, Brussels\u2019 Triumphal Arc was conceived to be a source of pride and joy to the capital. The monumental structure is the focal piece of a U-shaped arcade that houses three museums, and in front of it, an esplanade of geometric greens stretches out as far as the eye can see.

Location
This photo was taken at the Arc de Triomphe in Brussels, Belgium. This monument is located in the Cinquantenaire park and was made in 1880 by King Leopold II, who organized an international fair to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Belgium's independence.Time
The photo was taken at night, during a night walk.Lighting
The lighting in the photo is all the artificial light that the monument has. The light surface of the building is nicely cut out against the dark sky.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D300 with a 18-55/4.5 lens. Without tripod.Inspiration
Really. The construction is very impressive, which is enhanced by artificial lighting at night.Editing
The original photo is in color. I just used a Lightroom preset called Selenium ToneIn my camera bag
I usually carry my Nikon D750 camera, a 24-120 / 4-4.5 lens, a 70-200 / 2.8 lens, and a normal 50 / 1.8 lens in my bag.Feedback
the ideal for this type of night shots is to use a tripod, which allows exposing with very low ISO values, obtaining an image with little noise.
