Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in London, in the City (London's financial district). This is 30 St Mary Ax or Gherkin Building.

Time

This photo was taken on July 15, 2019 at 13:33:26

Lighting

The ambient lighting at that time of day was very good. The material reflected light in a million bits. The only thing that had to be done was to take the picture quickly to avoid that the sun could come out through the clouds and ruin the picture with a million flashes.

Equipment

My equipment: Camera: Nikon D7100 Lens: 18.0-140.0 mm f/3.5-5.6. Flash always comes with me but I did not use it for this photograph

Inspiration

He had always heard of this building and despite having been to London many times, he had never managed to see it. The previous time I tried to go see him, water fell and a lot of air. They began to cut subway lines and being on the street supposed that the umbrella would break and you would end up completely soaked in less than 5 minutes

Editing

I worked on LightRoom to convert this photo to black and white

In my camera bag

2 cameras, flash, filters, and batteries... many batteries :) I also carry lens convertores, tripod and small spotlights

Feedback

If you are in London, especially check that it does not rain and that there is no air. If this does not happen, you have a million buildings in the city to photograph, each one more modern and taller.
