This is one on my favorite spots and roads to drive in Florida. Unusual in that it has rolling hills and open grazing land on both sides of the road. It is a favorite bird sighting area as there are often bird watchers stopped along the way. This particular evening the sunset was spectacular and I was delighted to in that particular spot at the perfect moment.

This photo was taken a few miles from my home on a road through pasture land in a lovely rolling hills section of Florida.Time
We were driving home from a visit with friends on Christmas day. We could see this magnificent sunset as we were driving up the hill. We stopped the car on the top of the hill and I got out to take pictures.Lighting
The sun was close to setting on a cloudy but sunny day when the light broke through the clouds just as we were driving in the area.Equipment

The sunset was magnificent.Editing
The sky required very little post processing. A touch of the Luminar structure filter enhanced the suns rays that were captured by the camera. Reducing the shadows and increasing the exposure were required to balance the lower potion of the pictureIn my camera bag
I always have my iPhone with me and it is perfect for opportunities like this. When it is my intention to take photographs I also carry my Fuji Finepix. More recently my husband and a VB friend have been encouraging me to upgrade to a better camera. My husband has been kind enough to loan me his second camera, a Fuji XH1. Currently I am alternating between the three cameras sometimes for the same scene.Feedback
This was simply being in the right place at the right time. Plus we are very familiar with the terrain and knew where to stop to get the best shot.
