Very nice night shot Steve. Something like this would be the only time I would use a tripod and you done a great job here.

Location
This photo was taken after a SF Giants game. Leaving Oracle field on the ferry back to Vallejo. We had just gone under the Bay Bridge on the stern of the boat looking at the city. I had no tripod, the boat was rocking, and at first, I was not pleased with how the shot came out, however, I remembered what a photo mentor had told me. "Never trash a shot."Time
The shot was taken around 10:30 at night, just after the game. If you look to the left of the shot, under the bridge you can see the lights from Oracle.Lighting
All I remember was that it would have been both impossible and ridiculous to use a flash or any lighting to get the shot that I was after. The lights of the city were my primary focus.Equipment
Nothing, hand-held Nikon D750.Inspiration
Just thought with the fog rolling onto the bay and the lights from the city would make a great shot.Editing
Perhaps some minor cropping to take some of the ferry out of the shot.In my camera bag
Normally, I shoot Nikon with Tamron lensesFeedback
Bring a coat, it was mighty cold that night.
