Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Jekyll Island, on workshop with Jason Lanier. While on workshops everyone gets the same images this was captured at moment of pause, where the young model let her guard down.

Time

The time was late evening , around 4 pm eastern time , in a secluded area in the woods . One light (Westpro 360 ) with Godox 24” modifier and edited in Paintshop Pro .

Lighting

Naturally with heavily wooded areas the there will be an issue with dappled light, that I why I chose to use my flash setup.

Equipment

Canon EOS 6D Sigma 85mm 1/4 1/320 85mm Westpro 360 Handheld

Inspiration

Just trying to avoid the canned photos and capture a candid moment.

Editing

I edit this image in Corel Paintshop pro, yes lol. I use Lightroom in conjunction . Simply because I am familiar with the interface.

In my camera bag

Everything but the kitchen sink! I would rather have and not need , than need and not have. 85mm , 50 mm , 24-70 , 70-200 Assorted filters , tripod .

Feedback

Be cognoscente if your environment before you take a shot and adapt your self accordingly. This maximizes your chance of getting a keeper. I have a love /hate relationship with editing so I try to get shots that require very little intervention on my part.
