Location
This photo was taken in Milwaukee, WI at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.Time
This photo was taken mid-morning in May.Lighting
It was an overcast day which made for some really nice photos.Equipment
This photo was taken with my Nikon D7200. I met a fellow Nikon user that morning who let me borrow his Nikkor 70-200 mm F/2.8 G ED lens. No flash, no tripod. No other equipment.Inspiration
The Schlitz Audubon Center in Milwaukee, WI has a Raptor Photo Shoot each spring as part of raptor education. I made my rounds with the raptors that morning then when getting ready to leave, I met a fellow Nikon user who offered to let me borrow his lens. It was a great experience with the raptors and with the new lens. I ended up purchasing that same lens for myself. It was a really neat experience.Editing
I was super delighted with the outcome of the original photo that I really didn't have to do and post-processing.In my camera bag
I normally just have my camera but since this experience, I now carry an additional lens.Feedback
The lens helped me focus on the owl and offered a great bokeh of the red dogwood and other vegetation in the background.
