Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in a Starbucks, in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. I was having a coffee with my wife and this lady appeared, I talked with her and with her mother to be able to take the picture and they said yes. It is part of a series of 8 photos I made to him. Some smiling, others without smiling.Time
It is, perhaps, one of my favorite portraits. It's almost street photography, the models were ready to go to a casting. In just 3 minutes all the shots were ready.Lighting
It was made with natural light, light enters through windows on the left side of the model and front. The rest of the lighting is that of the Starbucks coffee shop. The boke helps a lot because it isolates the model of the environment, allowing me to play with the blur of furniture and lighting.Equipment
I used it with a Canon 5D Mark III, a 50mm 1.8 lens and nothing else.Inspiration
I am inspired by faces, I like to capture different people, from different parts of the world, with different realities and perceptions of the world, different possibilities, different views about life.Editing
I try to make the process as natural as possible, minimize the retouching of images and preserve the beauty or natural interest of people or modelsIn my camera bag
For street photography I try to charge as little as possible, with the 5D and a pair of glasses is enough.Feedback
Simply that they try to capture with naturalness, without pretensions what they photograph. Whatever the style. Beauty is there, in front of our eyes. By beauty I do not mean a stereotypical beauty, but something worth capturing, beautiful can be a gesture, an expression or simply reality.
