Location
I took the photo in Rome. I was located in Umberto I bridge to get the nice view of Sant'Angelo bridge and Saint Peter's dome.Time
The image was taken at sunset. Because it's the best time to get a nice sky, since the sun goes down behind the scene.Lighting
All the illumination of the scene is from the street lights, and the monumental illumination of Saint Peter's basilicaEquipment
The camera was a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, the lens a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, the tripod a Benro C1690TB0Inspiration
It's a iconical location in Rome. It's a must for any photographer who visit the city. I have tried to get a nice picture from the same place in my previous visit to the city, but unfornatetly one of the buildings was under remodelation and I didn´t like the results. In my second travel i took the picture I had dreamedEditing
Yes I did post processing. I had to take a bracketing to get the full dynamic range of the scene because of the high contrast between the high lights and the darks. I had blend all the images in photoshop to get all the image well iluminated, and had made some contrast and color adjustments, dodge and burning, and a final sharpening to get crisp details. In my camera bag
I have always in my bag my camera Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the follwing lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM Samyang AE 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC A shutter release, several bateries and memory cards and my tripodFeedback
My main advice is to arrive early to the location because is a popular place for tourists and photograhers and it's usually crowed of people. In order to choose the best place to shoot for the composition you like the most
