Location
This photo was taken at the Colonel By Lake in Kingston, Ontario. I was camping at Rideau Acres and spent some magical evenings along their beach. Where this was taken.Time
It was just after 8:30pm.Lighting
The shot wasn’t edited much at all, I really wanted to capture the beauty of it all. The calmness of the water reflecting all the wonderful colours in the sky. It was perfect because the left side of the picture is more shades with trees and the sunset was illuminating on the right.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel T5i, my beginner camera. The lens was the kit lens 15-135mm. No tripod, no flash. Just a spur of the moment.Inspiration
I bring my camera with me everywhere to document the beautiful places I see and the moods in my photos are generally very happy and sincere. I felt inspired by the way the sun drifts off and away but still leaves you with this miraculous spectacle each and every time.Editing
Not one bit!In my camera bag
My Canon 7D Mark II, 55-250 mm, 40 mm, and lots of batteries and SD cards. I have at least 40 SD’s filled just from hobby shots and I won’t ever delete a picture. I need more lenses though and I want so many more!Feedback
Be in the mood. There is not a single reason to be upset or frustrated while shooting photos, if you do your work will justify your mood. Shitty days make the shittiest pictures.
