This photo was taken in The Netherlands in a small town called Ommen. There is amazing nature with so much to see. Sometimes beauties like this one like to hide so I had to crawl to get itTime
It was around 1 pm when this photo was taken. Because it was taken in the woods the trees created a nice shadow and a beautiful light feature. I waited for the perfect moment so the light would not be direct but defused. I also took advantage of the small branches in the background and in the foreground.Lighting
Manual lenses create beautiful effect which love to play with the light. The trees created a soft and defused light.Equipment
In the last few years I have fallen in love with old manual lenses. Each had their own beautiful feature that on its own creates a magical picture. For this photo I crawled toward the flower and layed down on the ground with camera. I used the display of my Sony A7 II to focus the manual lens on the flower. When I started out with manual lenses this was very hard but years of experience have taught me allot!Inspiration
I like a lighte challange, and thats what photography with manual lenses is. Searching for pretty flowers and sometimes even challenging myself to get to them makes the photo feel even more accomplishedEditing
For post-processing I always use Adobe Lightroom. The manual lenses on its own can create beautiful effect and colors. In Lightroom I useally brighten out the colors to make the picture more vibrant. In my camera bag
Over the last few years my collection of manual lenses has grown A LOT but I will always have my favourites. It depends on what I will photograph, moving people or still objects. Every lens I own is unique and I have a deep love for all of them.Feedback
If you would like to capture a photo like this one I would advise to just play around with the manual lenses and have fun with them. It takes time to get used to them but its definitely worth it!
