Location
The photo was taken in Port (Oporto), Portugal. Oporto is a beautiful city, full of old and decadent places. They keep old trams running too, that are fabulous for photos. The city is covered with spectacular photo locations, and it´s perfect in every part of the year.Time
At the morning, in a rainy day. I waited with patience for the righ tram and the right people near it. There are several tram lines across the city, all of them beautiful.Lighting
The light was cooperative: raining but with enough light to do things good. I wanted to get reflections in the floor water so I angled the photo properly.Equipment
Camera Sony NEX7, my street photo camera, and the walk-around 35mm 1.8 Sony lens. And a umbrella, of course (important).Inspiration
Oporto is a city that inspires for mood, decadent, relaxing photos. The mix of water, rain, the old buildings and the old tram was so attracting...Editing
Corrections in colors, some sharpening in details, tone tuning for maximizing water reflections and rain drops. In my camera bag
For street photo I use my NEX7, 2 primes (Sony 35 and Zeiss 45) and a travel zoom if necessary (Tamron 18-270). If I´ll take photos of landscapes or great buildings I use the Canon 10-18. Generally no tripod for street photo.Feedback
Walk the city. look for the right places to take great photos and think for the perfect moment: sit, take a break, drink a good portuguese coffee and relax. The photo will come in.
