Location
This photo was taken on the early stages of The Great Ocean Walk Victoria. It is a couple of hours from Apollo Bay near Storm Point.Time
This photo was taken mid morning , on our first break on a 100+ km walk. I was facinated with the rock formations and the rock pools.Lighting
The day was overcast and at times threatening rain but made for a lovely picture. I loved the softness the cloudy day gave to this photo and avoided stark shadowsEquipment
Camera used was a Canon 750D. Lens was 18 -55 mm. No tripod was used as I wasn't keen on carrying excess items.Inspiration
I loved how the rock formations and the long rock pool lead your eye into the photoEditing
I did straighten the horizon. It seems to be that when I'm carrying a backpack I get a little tiltIn my camera bag
Lens 18-55 and 55-200. Spare battery, memory cards and lens cleaning cloth. Though on this trip I hardly used the telephoto lens at all. A disposable rain poncho is also in there too If days are overcast I recommend taking a rain poncho. This is in addition to the rain cover for your back pack. We had the misfortune of getting wet on 3 of the 6 days we walked. I found out the hard way that water runs down your back and is absorbed in to your pack. My camera gear was dry (thank goodness) but the spare socks I'd packed were wetter than the pair I was wearingFeedback
Be prepared to get down low to capture the image.
