This is a photo of an emerging Gerbera Daisy taken in my own garden.Time
I try to catch these when it is still light out but the sun has passed my garden. I find the colors to be most accurate when portrayed on a screen.Lighting
It’s all about where the sun is when you want to shoot flower photos.Equipment
I shot this photo with my Sony DSLR trying many settings to get the depth of field just right. I love the way the blurry foliage sets off the flower.Inspiration
I grow Gerbera Daises in my garden partly for the many ‘Kodak Moments’. The provide. I especially love the emerging flowers.Editing
No. I can’t improve on Nature. In my camera bag
I tend to take most of my photos on my own property so I rarely use a bag. I shoot with My Sony using a normal lens or my zoom lens. I shoot many of my photos on my iPhone plus while out walking in my scenic lakeside neighborhood.Feedback
In the Spring, plant Gerbera daisies in pots so you can move them around to get the light you need for the photo. As the flowers start emerging, take photos every day or two. There is beauty in every stage including when they flowers are dying off. It is possible that in a warmer climate these can be grown year round. The colors are amazing so get a variety.
