Thank you ! It's a ex minor of the Bois du Cazier (commemoration), an old coal mine located in Belgium. On 8 augustust 1956, a fire killed 262 people.

Location

I take this picture to tThe Bois du Cazier. It's an old coal mine located in Marcinelle, currently part of Charleroi, Belgium. On 8 August 1956, a fire killed 262 people there.

Time

This was taken on thursday, august 6, 2016, at a commemoration ceremony of the mining disaster.

Lighting

While picking up a black and white profont, I have the impression to go more to the essence of the history of these ex-minors.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D7100, F8, 1/125 sec, iso 400

Inspiration

That day, the atmosphere was heavy. The bell rang in tribute to the victims. 262 tinkles, in an impressive silence, accompanied each time by the name of one of the victims......

Editing

Develop the raw and after photoshop for contrats and black and white

Currently: nikon D750 , lens irix 11mm and nikkor 24-70mm, f2.8, nikkor 70-200mm
