Location
This photo was taken two and a half miles away from the nearest small town in the Northern Minnesota Forrest. The bulb was found in the woods seemingly new.Time
This shoot started around 3:00pm but worked it’s way till 10:00pm for the reason that I wanted to get the perfect shot in camera and leave editing out of it.Lighting
The lighting was awesome. I had this incredible glow from the snow reflecting the sun and it really helped this photo out.Equipment
I used a strong and sturdy Canon T5 with a 16mm wide angle Rokinon lens attached. No timers, no tripods. Just good old fashioned trial and error.Inspiration
This photo struck me. It’s an idea I’ve been working towards for a while. I wanted to show the purest form of “idea” in a picture without people in it. Then lightbulb!Editing
Minor color corrections I didn’t want the sunsets glow completely taken out so I didn’t do very much.In my camera bag
I normally have a Canon T5 and a Pentax Film camera. I have three lenses, cleaning equipment, emergency repair equipment, and of course snacks!Feedback
If you want to capture something similar to this. Just don’t stop until you do! The basis of every photo is an idea. Once you have an image in your head of what you want. Trial and error my friend!
