Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was made in my home studio, it is an old chamber with an old and ugly wall, but it gives very nice as a background.

Time

The photo was made in the early afternoon. I used softboxes, so the time is les important, but as you can see the light was well chosen.

Lighting

I like to make pictures that looks natural, so it was important for me to make the set up of the softboxes so that it is not that obvisious that they were used.

Equipment

Shot with a 5D II lens 24-70/2.8, a tripod was used and two sofboxes

Inspiration

I had the hat and a jeans jacked. I like the nonchalant combination of both. Then there was Isabel, she was modeling for me and we tried to work out this combination. The result made me happy, it was what I had in mind.

Editing

There was some processing, I made the background a bit rougher and the hat and jeans more powerfull. The face was a little smoothed but just a very little.

In my camera bag

If I go outside, I only use may camera and my lens 24-70 mm/2.8 or a steady 50 mm 1.4

Feedback

I just used two softboxes, but the place they are standing is important. Look at the light and also very important the shadow.
