Behind The Lens
Location
I took this in Cayucos, CA under the pier.Time
It was a foggy morning, before seven. I wanted to do long exposures with my new camera. I did not have a set time for how long I left the shutter open, I just used what I felt. I didn't get the feel of the image until I got home. So many from that morning were never edited, only cropped. This is one of those.Lighting
The lighting was fair since I was out before 7 and the fog was moving out slowly.Equipment
I had my new Canon EOS 80D with the EFS 18-55mm lens. I still had my older tripod but used a remote switch and a ND 3.0-1,000X filter.Inspiration
I have seen many pier pictures, both above and beneath. I really wanted to try my hand at it. See what I could create with what was around.Editing
The only thing I did was crop the picture. Everything else is as it was shot.In my camera bag
Other than my EOS 80D, lenses, filters and the remote switch. The Lenses are a EFS 15-88mm and a EFS 55-250MM. I also carry a UV filter, two ND filters, a polarizer and a Canon Remote Switch. I was also carry a lens cloth and blower/duster.Feedback
You never know what you can do until you try. Study, experiment and go out and shoot. Always shoot what you like.
