Thank you for joining my challenge. Nice photo but the challenge calls for black and white. If you have one in Black and white it is not too late to submit.

Location
I took this photo in South Haven in Michigan. It's very picturesque with the beach, Lake Michigan and lighthouse on the pier.Time
The sun began setting around 8:30 pm and we stayed until dark as thunderclouds started rolling in.Lighting
My goal was to capture the sun setting directly behind the lighthouse, which helped to give the sky an oil painting type look. No flash needed as the sun did all the work!Equipment
I actually took this with my point and shoot, a Nikon p900, no flash. My dslr had run out of batteries, so I used my backup. Just goes to show that great shots can come from many types of cameras.Inspiration
What is more inspiring than water, a lighthouse, a sunset and celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary? It was quite perfect!Editing
Yes. I did some post in Lightroom just to boost the colors a bit. Honestly, it did not need much tweaking. In my camera bag
I carry my Nikon d5200 for a dslr and my point and shoot Nikon p900, both nice cameras. I have also come to carry a tripod and remote. For my dslr I have the standard 18 to 55 mm lens and a sigma 70 to 300 mm lens along. As this is a hobby, I have to save and grow my collection. I already have a more professional type camera on my wishlist! Also, always keep extra batteries and SD cards! That's a must!Feedback
The waterscape can have so many different emotions but with that comes many different amazing photos depending on weather and time of day. Spend some time and enjoy the changes that will happen throughout the day. That's the beauty of digital photography! You can take hundreds of photos and guaranteed you will get many great shots. But more importantly, one really special favorite like this photo!
