Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this still life in my dark basement.

Time

The time of day isn't pertinent for this shot.

Lighting

I used only a flashlight balanced on a bean bag for lighting. It took several tries to get everything in position in order to get a nice balanced heart.

Equipment

My Canon Rebel T5i was on a tripod. I shot in live view which eliminates any shake from using the mirror. I also used a black velvet cloth for the background.

Inspiration

I had seen photos similar to this online, and just used items I had available at home.

Editing

The only post processing I used was a little cloning of glare on the saucer in photoshop.

In my camera bag

Not pertinent for this shot

Feedback

Just try it at home
