Location
This picture was taken thru a window on the pier at Cinco Masao Resort. It is located in the Dahican area of Mati City, on the Island of Mindanao, Philippines.Time
It was taken at 10:20am on April 24, 2016. What a lovely hot dayLighting
The light was to bright outside to show the inside of the window. I set a 3 stop bracket to capture the light inside of the window.Equipment
I use a Nikon Coolpix P510. It is a bridge camera with fantastic reach. I know that it is not the camera of choice for most photographers (long way from it.) But I read that the equipment is just an aid to what you see.Inspiration
When I got to the end of the pier that is when I saw this window with the view. I remember seeing pictures of scenes like that on Viewbug. So I tried my hand at capturing what I thought may make a good shot.Editing
I attempted to make the HDR merge as realistic as possible. I don't like the edge glow that the process sometimes renders. I used Google's NIK HDR software to merge the 3 Stop bracketed shots. Then finished the post processing in Photoshop. Unfortunately my camera only shoots JPEG so there isn't much post processing that can be done with out serious degrading of the pictures. In my camera bag
I just own the Coolpix P510 but it is fun to use and learn about the art of photography.Feedback
