Behind The Lens

Location

This photo has many sad elements to it beyond what is obvious. This is my mother and daughter holding hands in the special care facility that as a Registered Nurse my mom worked for the last 20 years of her career. Very bittersweet.

Time

Morning - best time to have my mom at hermits lucid.

Lighting

Lighting in this was horrible! Bright glaring fluorescent lighting so it was a miracle shot.

Equipment

No special equipment. A simple iPhone shot taken on impulse.

Inspiration

My mom loved loved loved my daughter so very much and is the only one she will, at odd times, actually recognize.

Editing

Just a simple filter to soften the look a bit.

In my camera bag

Just my go to camera and my iPhone which oddly enough takes some amazing shots.

Feedback

Close up shoot. Blue the edges and have the focus on the hands which will help to blur the outside lines of the picture.
