Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio, which is located in Sudbury Ontario Canada. It is very cold in Nodthern Ontario this time of year, and we have a ton of snow, so indoors is the best option for us!

Time

We planned this shoot late in the evening, with accessibility to a studio, time is really never a factor. We went in late and stayed as long as we needed, in order to achieve what we were looking for creatively.

Lighting

I wanted some mood and for the glitter to be set off. I used only one softbox to achieve my desired effect.

Equipment

This image was taken using my Nikon D5300 50mm 1.8 lens and one soft box.

Inspiration

One of the first in studio shoots I had ever done was glitter inspired. I decided that after a year of practicing in studio I wanted to attempt the glitter theme again. I understood my lighting and settings better this time around, and definitely see improvement!

Editing

I love post work! I use PS CC and focus most of my post processing on the skin, which I feel really contributes to the final image.

In my camera bag

My bag ALWAYS had my 85mm nikkor lens and my 50mm nikkor lens. I don't use much equipment, I love seeing my results using basics and a creative eye.
