Location
I took this picture in the lower Pyrenees on my way to Andorra from the French side up in the autumn of 2016.Time
It was a cloudy, rainy day but in the late morning the sky broke open and spread this lovely spotlight over the trees on the foreground.Lighting
It was the light conditions that made me make the picture. There was little time because the light conditions changed rapidly! I stopped the car beside the road up and went for my camera immediately and shot with the lens mounted on it. I think it was a 200mm or the kit zoom lens that is a 35mm - 115mm.Equipment
It's probably my Canon D5 Mk II as said with the kit lens or the Canon 2.8. - 200 mm.Inspiration
As said it was the special light conditions and I was triggered by the autumn colours of the vegetation in contrast to the grey higher mountains.Editing
I always shoot in RAW, in this case I enhanced the colouration of the leaves a BIT!In my camera bag
Depends on the subject. These days I like to shoot with my older Eos 1 mk 3 a lot. I always bring the standard kit lens with it and most of the times also a short tele. Nowadays I also always bring my Sony APS-C mirrorless camera Alpha 7000 as backup!Feedback
Have your camera always at you side ready to shoot and shoot at impulse! It's always better to shoot and be in the moment than to overthink a situation and taking a big chance to miss out on the moment. This is for sure important in street photography but I FIND IT EQUALLY IMPORTANT IN LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY!
