Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taking in Verona park New Jersey. Out in the grass by the pond.

Time

The time of day was 7 pm in the summer with the sunset to add really nice back light lighting. and also so its not so bright.

Lighting

The lighting I used was the sun as back light and also 2 profoto one head kits ( B2 airs ) with each light had a 1x1 soft box. one as a key and other as a fill.

Equipment

the equipment I used was a canon 5 d Mark III with a 20-200 2.8 lens

Inspiration

Kids really inspire me because you never what kind of shot your finally going to get with kids, Because they are always moving around and do not understand what you are trying to tell them to do. They also do not know why they are getting there photo taking. Being a young photographer I understand the way kids act and why they do the things they do,but I really love this photo because the special moment that my model gave me. Just a pose that he would be naturally and I feel that this is a moment and pose I cant tell a 3 year old to do with out doing it on his own. So that is why I love this photo.

Editing

All the Post-processing was done made his face smooth took out any face marks, like a baby zit, I also made his made shore his eyes where very shape so you can see every detail.

In my camera bag

My everyday dag includes my new Nikon D810 with (24-70 2.8) (50 1.4) (70-200 2.8). My lighting that always comes with me is two speedlights and also my profoto B2 airs. And always a reflector so I can bounce the light. My Labtop to see if my photo sharp, and always 5 or more SD or CF cards and 4 charged batteries.

Feedback

Always keep shooting and don't stop because you will never no when that moment will happen that your model just does something outstanding. And will make the photo your trying to get amazing.
