Location
This photo was taken in a Road called Marechal Rondon, it is in Botucatu, a city from São Paulo state, Brazil. The city I live.Time
That Road has a lot of traffic, everyday. I was passing by and notice that would be a astonishing composition, then I came back next day and prepare myself and my equipament to do it. It was taken in 23th of march of 2015 at 8pm.Lighting
To play with light it´s good to study a little of physics, reflexion and things like that and let your mind opened to try a lot.Equipment
I used my old equipment, Canon EOS 70D in f8, 30s, Canon lens 24-105mm in 32mm focal distance and ISO-800. I used a simple tripod.Inspiration
I saw a lot of pictures with light painting and it makes me want to try by myself. I like a lot to see this kind of photos, when you can do a nice job, it will be a pleasure everytime you see.Editing
Yes, I did two shots with different exposures to have a better range of contrast. I treated the commum processing in Lightroom then I went to Photoshop do merge the two images and highlight some areas. In my camera bag
Now I usually carry a Canon 5D Mark II, a Canon Lens 50mm f1.4, Canon Lens 24-105mm f4, two Youngnuo Flashes 565 EX II and a Youngnuo radio system and some polirezed filters.Feedback
Yes, before you start shooting, know the place to know what is the better hour of good traffic so you will be able to plan your shoot. Do a lot of exposure tests e always remember that a good composition makes all the difference in your photo.
