Location
This was taken at a Guest house in Tzaneen that did a Breakfast for my Mother-in-Law's Birthday. The fruit platter begged to be photographed, so I obliged.Time
It was early in the morning and the light was warm. The plate was placed on the dining room table in front of doors leading out to the patio, where the breakfast was to be served.Lighting
Nothing special.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 1100D, with a standard 18-35 mm lens, on a tripod with a flash. My settings were F5.6, 1/60th of a second, ISO 800Inspiration
I wanted to commit the picture to memory, as it was an integral part of the Birthday celebration, which I was photographing for my Mother-in-law.Editing
I just added a bit of contrast for truer representation of the colour. In my camera bag
I normally carry all my lenses which include the one mentioned above, as well as a Canon 75 to 300 mm Lens. I recently purchased a second hand Sigma for Canon 150 - 500 mm Zoom for Bird and Animal Photography. I really enjoy the clarity of the lens, although a good Sturdy Tripod is a must due to the weight of the lens.Feedback
Ensure that the subject is in good focus, and add flash for better light.
