This photo was taken at Dicky Beach, Caloundra, QLD AustraliaTime
Pre dawn around 4:45 amLighting
Due to being pre dawn the light was low which is what I wanted to get the smooth water effect.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark III, Canon EF 24/70 2.8 and tripodInspiration
The wreck of the SS.Dicky is breaking up quickly in fact since I took this photo a lot more has disappeared so I wanted to capture what time was going to take away.Editing
Very little processing just a slight crop, some noise reduction and vibrancy added. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark III, Canon EF 16 to 35, Canon EF 24 to 70, Canon EF 70 to 200, Canon EF 200 to 400 etcFeedback
This was a cold very early morning but it was worth the effort, to get good photos you have to go that extra mile and put yourself out there no what mother nature puts in front of you, use RAW and set your camera to Manual Mode and push it to its limits!
