Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the beach in Patong, Thailand.

Time

It was late afternoon as the sun was setting before it got fully dark.

Lighting

The sun was in the back ground and it provided a nice backlight for the photo.

Equipment

I only used a camera, a Sony cybershot with 50x Zoom,the lens is a Carl Zeiss 2,8-6,3/4,3-215

Inspiration

I had just finished doing the parasailing shown in the picture, and unfortunately I couldn't take my camera on the ride so I decided to capture the picture of the experience from the ground when my dad went and did the same thing. The sunset was there and everything was right for an amazing photo.

Editing

I did a little and fiddled with contrast, brightness and saturation of the picture but other then that it was all there in the shot.

In my camera bag

I wasn't really looking for the photo it just came, I only had my Sony cybershot 50x Zoom camera in my bag. Unfortunately I don't really have any other camera equipment besides the camera itself.

Feedback

Some of the best photos come from just turning up sonewhere with your camera. Being in the right place at the right time is key, to achieve something like this photo it is best done at sunset or rise having the sun low in the background. The beach is always a nice place to see the sun set and usually can grantee a good photo.
