I took this photo in my living room. I brought snails from the outside, next to my house. It was a rainy day, so a lot of snails come up on the lawn. I took one of them to take some pictures.Time
It was evening time, around 7-9 pm. I remember that it was dark outside.Lighting
I used my off-camera Speedlight to highlight from the back and whiteboard to reflect light on snail and remove shadows.Equipment
Canon 7D, Canon 100mm Macro lense, 1/200 f4, ISO1000 Tripod, Speedlite 270EX II, and whiteboardInspiration
I just got my macro lens and decided to try it out.Editing
Just a little crop to fit snail in the center of the frame. In my camera bag
I have Canon 5DS and 5D Mark3 Canon EF 24-70mm, EF 70-200mm my favorite. Also, I have Canon EF 100mm Macro and Sigma 20mm, 35mm, 85mm.Feedback
The best results you can only get if you in control of the lighting. It Is hard to take a shot like this outside on the field or using only natural light as the main source.
