Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken during a photo shoot in Lunteren, The Netherlands, "De Valk Roofvogels" with Gerard & Bettine Van Den Brink. Very sociable and friendly people who do everything for the well-being of their animals.

Time

It was late afternoon of a beautiful day, the sun cast a nice warm glow on the horizon.

Lighting

The most beautiful pictures were taken in backlight of the sun, which made it not always easy to get the right exposure, especially with flying birds. You were rewarded for these difficult exposures with beautiful images.

Equipment

I used a Canon Eos 5D mark III with a Canon 70-200/2.8L and a Canon prime 85/1.2Lmm lens in very dark conditions like the church owl in an old barn. no tripod and no flash.

Inspiration

Just patience and a little luck.

Editing

Since I always shoot my photos in RAW, it is necessary to edit my photos, first they are loaded in Lightroom and possibly Photoshop if this would be necessary.

In my camera bag

This is determined by the subject that I am going to photograph, taking all my photo equipment is impossible due to the weight.

Feedback

Just do it and accept that most photos will end up in the bin, as simple as that.
