Location
I took this photo in San Diego, CA while on vacation to visit my mother who lives in that area. I just loved the view at that moment from that spot and I wanted to capture it forever.Time
This photo was taken mid afternoon and is one of my favorites simply due to the random & sporadic-ness of the quick shot of the photo with my mobile device (iPhone) of an image I wanted to remember.Lighting
This photo was just your typical sunny day on the California coast. The lighting being all natural. Just in the right place at the right time.Equipment
The only equipment I used for this one was my iPhone - no flash!Inspiration
During this trip to visit my mother I planned on taking quite a few photos so that I could put together a surprise scrapbook of our time and vacation together and gift it to her for her birthday later in the year. My inspiration was looking at the view and thinking, “this would look amazing with the feel I’m trying to create in this scrapbook!” Unfortunately, she passed away before that could happen however, I still made the scrapbook and turned it into a memorial instead and now this picture is one of my all time favorite photos along with some of my all time favorite memories as well :)Editing
None!In my camera bag
Typically it all would depend on if I’m planning to photograph or not although it seems like I tend to end up with the best photos when I am least expecting it with minimal if any equipment but my phone and/or tripod nearby. If I am planning on photographing, I have my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS8 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 16x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD in my bag.Feedback
If you think it looks beautiful enough to stop you in your tracks so that you step back and think or say “wow”, to yourself, then capture it with whatever camera you have. You never know what may end up being a masterpiece either professionally or to you personally....
