Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken at Broken Scar in Darlington, UK. It is probably one of my most photographed scenes, I have them from all year round & all weather.Time
It was taken at around 2pm in the afternoon, just before I picked my daughter up from school.Lighting
The light was fairly good, there were some good clouds in the sky but very little sign of the sun.Equipment
It was shot on my Canon Eos 750D & I was using a Tamron 18-270 lens. No flash or tripod was used. I was just resting on the railings.Inspiration
This is one of my go to places as it is a fairly peaceful place, especially during the day & in the colder months. There is plenty of wildlife & you can get some really great reflections, depending on time of day & year. I have some really nice reflections with the sun going down too.Editing
The photography was shot in RAW & I processed it using Affinity. Slight change to the details & enhancements of the sky but I don't normally spend too long in post processing, perhaps I should do more!In my camera bag
At the time I just had my camera & lens with me (Canon 750D & Tamron 18-270mm) but most of the time I have 2 prime lenses with me too which are 24mm & 50mm. I have just recently purchased a Sigma 105mm Macro lens which is on most of the time now as I've not really taken much other than at home due to the lockdown here in the UK.Feedback
The light can change very quickly, just take a shot, go with your gut feeling, there are always plenty of opportunities to take shots. Every shot is individual & your own piece of history, be happy with what you take as it's yours.
