This photo was taken just down the road from my house. I am a self taught photographer and love to take pictures of flowers, landscapes, and anything I see simple beauty in.Time
I was taking a walk with my youngest son Clayton around 4:30 one evening. He laughed at me for stopping and taking pictures of all the flowers as we went down the road. I was super excited on how well this photo turned out.Lighting
I was lucky enough that this flower was slightly shaded and not in the full evening sun.Equipment
I used my Cannon EOS Rebel T3i in this photo.Inspiration
This simple flower was all by itself and not in a group of flowers. It was almost screaming at me to see the simple beauty and perfection. I have been told by several people that I don't see things the way others do and I am thankful for that. I know sometimes it can be the smallest thing that can make me smile or be thankful for what I have.Editing
I have started editing my photos in Lightroom. This photo I pushed up the shadows and the blue saturation so the flower would be even more stunning. In my camera bag
The equipment in my bag is very minimal because I do most of my photography around my home.Feedback
My advice to capture something similar would be to take several different shots and angles to capture the one you feel is perfect. I normally just go with what makes me happy. I do the same thing when I edit my photos, I try a couple things and do the one that makes me happy. I am learning something new all the time and trying new things all the time.
