The Mexican Wolf is the smallest subspecies of gray wolves. Although they are also called the Mexican Gray Wolf they are not completely gray. Their fur is a mixture of gray, cream, black and rust colors.

They are also referred to “El Lobo” and the Timber Wolf.

Behind The Lens

Location

I take this picture in connecticut Beardsley zoo, after a big research of this especially animal.

Time

This picture is one of my favorite because i was my first wild animal photo and i never forgot the time, i was at 3:45 in middle of winter

Lighting

The lighting is natural cloudy winter day, i was the perfect weather for this amazing shot.

Equipment

I use a canon 6d mark ii with a canon 70-200mm 4.0 and a tripod, the picture was taken at 200mm

Inspiration

I do a research based this is one of my favorite animals, in the research i see this animal is in danger of extinction, then i see connecticut Beardsley zoo has two mexican grey wolf and two red wolf, then i decide to make a trip from ny to ct to see this amazing guy, by lucky the weather was good in middle of winter, i take the advantage of a watching house to see my favorite animal

Editing

I do a little post processing in lightroom i play a little bit with the color,contrast and saturation

In my camera bag

In my bag i always have my canon 6d markii, a go pro black 4 and my lenses a canon 50mm canon 70-200mm sigma 24-70mm and my tamron 150-600mm
