Location
I Took this photo in Mbanza Kongo, Angola. The city is a UNESCO World HeritageTime
It was taken around 2 PM.Lighting
the portrait was taken with natural light in the shade, at f/2.8, 200 iso and manual exposureEquipment
I used a Fujifilm X-H1 with the XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WRInspiration
I was on my way to shoot a Sewing Workshop when I came across 4 guys hanging around while walking through a township. I saw this man and thought it was such an unparticular way to wear sunglasses So I asked him if I could take a picture and the magic happened.......Editing
My post processing was done form a .raf file (raw) and edited in LR CC. I then opened it in Photoshop CC.The black and white conversion was done with Silver Effex Pro. I added dynamic range, slight vignette and texture with On1 Photo Raw.In my camera bag
I travel with the Fujifilm X-T2, the Fujifilm X-H, a XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR, XF 50-140mm, XF 56mm f/1.2 R, XF90mm F2 and XF10-24MMF4 R OIS. For animal photography, I use the XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR. I have a set of 4 Nissin i60 a that I can use with the Nissin remote for studio light on the field with 2 SMDV speedboxes (soft boxes). My tripod is Leofoto LS 324C with LH 40 Ball HeadFeedback
Be natural and true to yourself.....show interest in the people. Spend a bit of time with them. It's always easier if you speak their language.......or be a clown and show off your best sign language...it has worked a lot for me.
