In January of 2018 I was assigned to take pictures of Iiris Vesik, a local singer and songwriter. For the location and rendezvous they had designated a cafe in central Tallinn.
I arrived at the cafe and got acquainted with her. After a quick chat and I went to look around the cafe for potential locations. It all looked dull and boring to me. However, in the process of asking the manager for permission, she told me that they were going to close in ten minutes. Meaning we would have to find a new location.
And so we did. Next door to the cafe we found some weird hotel entrance. It didn't have a reception desk, just glass walls and a couple of elevators. It looked like some sort of a backdoor that you should have access to only with a key card.
However, the door was open, it had a big white wall and a massive light in the ceiling. After getting some shots with the available light I switched to my strobes. This image is what followed.
