I took this photo of the Fairy Pools in the Black Cuillin mountain range while on a short camping vacation to the Isle of Skye about a year ago around late September early October time.Time
It was late in the day around 5 pm or soLighting
There were was an earie mist hanging over the mountains at the time as the Cuillin mountain range is at a high altitude. The weather was slightly muggy awaiting the ionset of a thunderstorm.Equipment
I used a Panasonic Lumix g7 with ND filter and Manfrotto TripodInspiration
I always wanted to go to the Isle Of Skye as it had an otherworldly feel to the landscape and mysteries concerning Faerie folk.Editing
I edited in Lightroom using the Basti Hansen Iceland presetsIn my camera bag
Camera, filters, batteries, waterproof clothingFeedback
The Scottish Highlands can be unpredictable weather-wise but there are plenty of small hotels and cafes to hang out in until the storm clears. You have to adapt to your surroundingsbut the landscapes pretty much lay it on the plate for you if you enjoy walking like me.
