Location
The photo was taken in Madrid, over a runway that moved a lot, which made it harder. The towers that you can see in the background are the "Cuatro Torres Bussines Area".Time
It was taken at dawn. It was the end of a series of night photographs, the sky began to turn red just in the rush hour.Lighting
It is a fairly common sight in Madrid, but I had never seen a photograph there at dawn, this is what made me decide to take it.Equipment
It was taken with: a Canon 6D in a Manfrotto 055 tripod, Canon 16-35 at 24mm, 10 stops nd filter, and a trigger.Inspiration
I wanted a photograph that reflected the bustle of the big cities but with a very minimalist composition in a special time and light, that's why I decided to take this picture.Editing
It is a combination of 20 photos of several seconds of exposure to capture all the traffic. It is very difficult to capture all these cars lights in one shoot. In my camera bag
I usually have in my bag a wide angle lens like 16-35mm, and a telephoto (70-200mm). A trigger and some nd filters (6 stops, 10 stops, 3 stops graduated filter and a polarized) and differents tripods (depending on the distance to walk).Feedback
Careful planning is essential to prepare this type of photographs. The first thing we must take into account is the sun's possition at the time we want to take the photo. Then we should consider the weather forecast. For example this shoot would have been different if there were no clouds or a coverd sky. In addition we must know how to use our material, having a solid technique, and knowing the post processing RAWs we need for.
