Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a trip to Romania in april 2016. Here you can see one of the rooms in the castle of Peles.

Time

Photo taken in the afternoon. In addition to artificial lighting, you can see the light falling from the windows on the left side.

Lighting

A frame with mixed lighting. The upper light from the lamps and the daylight from the side windows are reflected from the polished wooden panels and the table, and thereby add volume to the frame.

Equipment

This was shot on Canon 700d, with lense Tokina 11-16.

Inspiration

I like interiors that are not only beautiful, but also have the correct geometry. It seems to me that the designers managed to achieve the symmetry that I tried to fix on the photo.

Editing

Usually I correct white balance, distortion, colors and add sharpness.

In my camera bag

After this trip, I realized that I do not have enough quality when taking pictures with a crop camera, so now I usually take with me a canon 5Ds and lenses 24-105 and 17-40.

Feedback

Practice, practice and practice again. You can see a lot of master classes, read articles and expert opinions, but really learn and understand how to shoot (and what camera settings to use) is possible only on one's own experience.
