Location
In the fall of 2017, I went on a trip to the Republic of Karelia, the road ran near the river Asilan in the North-West of Russia. On my part, it would be utterly stupid to miss the chance to see the rapids of the waterfall.Time
It was the second half of the day and the sky was covered with clouds. In total, I spent about an hour on the rapids of the waterfall until I took a few pictures that made me smile!Lighting
It was the second half of the day and the sky was covered with clouds, drizzling rain, I decided that it was ideal conditions to make a series of pictures with stormy water on long exposure!Equipment
This was shot on Canon EOS 7D Mark II, lens Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, Tripod Manfrotto 190,Inspiration
The desire to photograph stormy rivers on long exposure was my dream, I liked to look at the pictures of the guys on the viewbug and I always envied those photographers who live near rivers, waterfalls and the coast.Editing
In my practice, I try to take photographs that do not need to be processed or performed exceptionally color correction, I do not use montage and respect the photographers who pay much attention to the process of photography rather than processing. In my camera bag
Regardless of the time of year leaving home with me, always in a backpack Canon 7D mark 2, Canon EF 17-40mm and Canon 135mm 2.0Feedback
If you want to learn how to photograph on long exposures, you need to be patient and learn to wait. Try, experiment, look for yourself!
